From the time you wake up in the morning until you sleep, every activity you do has its price and impact on the environment. How? From your toothpaste to food, you can see how much waste it generates whether it’s plastic or any other non-biodegradable material.
All this waste impacts not only us but every creature on this planet. Basically, it disturbs the overall ecosystem, which ultimately results in non-curable diseases.
Let’s see a few numbers & facts
- According to UNEP, The world produces approximately 400 million tonnes of plastic waste yearly.
- According to MIT, only 9% of waste is recycled, and more than 75% ends up in landfills and oceans.
- According to Earth.org, millions of marine animals are dying because of plastic pollution.
- According to Condorferries, China is the biggest plastic waste-producing country in the world.
However, we have a solution for all these things, but we have to act as soon as possible, and it starts with the things that we use on a daily basis. So, here we have prepared a list of sustainable living items for students and everyone because if each one teaches one, then we can reverse the loss we have done to the environment.
